Word on Fire Catholic Ministries is a nonprofit global media apostolate that supports the work of Bishop Robert Barron and reaches millions of people to draw them into—or back to—the Catholic faith.
The Marketing Manager crafts and executes marketing campaigns for Word on Fire’s Institute, books, and digital products. This role owns the end-to-end marketing lifecycle—from concept to post-campaign analysis—and manages cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely, creative, and effective delivery of promotional initiatives. The Marketing Manager is a leader with a meticulous eye for detail, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for advancing the mission of Word on Fire.

Responsibilities
- Manage a team of marketers to both analyze and optimize sales pages and ensure an ongoing stream of traffic is pushed towards the page
- Own full lifecycle of product campaigns from concept ideation, scheduling, execution, and asset coordination, to post-launch performance analysis
- Develop a deep understanding of the Word on Fire brand and voice to be reflected in marketing copy
- Brainstorm marketing campaign ideas that support ongoing brand goals with a specific emphasis on new product launches
- Create fresh angles and campaign strategies for books and products with an emphasis on increasing page conversion rate and average cart value
- Review copy for product marketing emails, social media posts, and ads
- Track marketing campaign statuses and tasks in project management software
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments to request and acquire marketing assets
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize marketing efforts
- Project and effectively communicate with purchasing team to ensure inventory levels are sufficient for campaigns
Requirements
- Commitment to the mission of Word on Fire
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in marketing
- Exceptional computer and technology skills
- Strong attention to detail, especially with textual content
- Highly creative and driven to explore new marketing trends and ideas
- Ability to quickly learn new technical skills
- Strong copywriting and proofreading skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Bishop Barron, Word on Fire, the Bible, Catechism of the Catholic Church, and magisterial teachings of the Catholic Church
- Knowledge of online marketing trends
- An appreciation for the beauty and dignity of the Word on Fire brand
- Ability to multitask several projects and marketing campaigns during a given day
- Ability to accomplish tasks quickly and manage time efficiently
- Exceptional communication skills, team-oriented
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated base pay range for this position is $70,000 - $95,000 annually. Word on Fire determines individual compensation on several factors, including but not limited to, experience, skills, alignment with the role’s responsibilities, and geographic location. This role may be eligible for annual merit increases based on individual performance.
